DESCRIPTION: SJ601A is a bonded flux with ball form granule of whitish gray color about 10-60 mesh in size. Its basicity is about 1.1. This flux is designed specially for strip cladding of extra low carbon stainless steel. The unique features of this flux include low carbon content, almost no chromium loss and excellent resistance to intercrystalline corrosion.
APPLICATIONS: This flux is used for cladding th internal wall of the pressure vessels of 300MW, 600MW nuclear power units, and also for surfacing 20MnMo tube plates of high-PRESSURE HEATERS. It is recommended to use with strips of 308L and 309L.
GUIDELINES FOR USAGE: 1. Dry the flux at 450 for two hours before use 2. Completely remove rust, oil and dirt from the groove surface prior to welding.
